Bazyli the 6-​year-​old World Driving Champion!

Polish-​bred Silesian stal­lion Bazyli won 2015 FEI World Driving Championships for Young Horses in Mezohegyes (HUN), while his sta­blem­ate Frezja claimed the sil­ver medal! Both horses were driv­en by Bartłomiej Kwiatek – a mem­ber of Kwiatek Driving Team.

Five Polish horses took part in the fi­nals of history’s first FEI World Driving Championships for Young Horses, and they all did ex­cel­lent:

5-​year-​olds

  • Imbred śl. (by Pikolo śl., out of Izyda śl. by Mundial śl.), stal­lion bred and owned by Grzegorz Świątek, driv­en by Weronika Kwiatek, placed 4th, and due to an im­press­ive elasti­city in trot was nick­named by the Judges a ‘Silesian Totilas’

6-​year-​olds

  • Bazyli śl. (by Lokan śl., out of Bazylia śl. by Palant śl.), stal­lion bred by Ksiaz Stallion Depot, owned by Grzegorz Świątek, driv­en by Bartłomiej Kwiatek, placed 1st
  • Frezja śl. (Regiment śl., out of Fuksja śl. by Jogurt śl.), mare bred by Ksiaz Stallion Depot, owned by Grzegorz Świątek, driv­en by Bartłomiej Kwiatek, placed 2nd

7-​year-​olds

  • Sonet śl. (by Dastin xx, out of Sorbona śl. by Bojkot śl.), stal­lion bred by Ksiaz Stallion Depot, owned by OHZ Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, driv­en by Bartłomiej Kwiatek, placed 4th
  • Lawenda śl. (by Arabetto śl., out of Lokana śl by Glöckner old.), mare bred by Ksiaz Stallion Depot, owned by OHZ Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, driv­en by Bartłomiej Kwiatek, placed 6th
