Two silver medals and one bronze for Poland at 2016 FEI World Driving Championships for Young Horses

Three out of four Silesian horses come back with medals from the second edition of the FEI World Driving Championships for Young Horses in Mezohegyes (HUN). The horses were driven by two successful Polish athletes Weronika Kwiatek and her brother Bartlomiej.

Two sons of a famous Silesian sire Lokan placed on podium in the biggest class of the championships – the 7-year-olds. Both of them scored high in walk and level of training. Weronika and her own stallion Epilog śl (by Lokan, out of Egida by Nomen), bred by Ksiaz Stallion Depot won silver medal, while Bartlomiej and Bazyli śl (by Lokan, out of Bazylia by Palant), bred by Ksiaz Stallion Depot, owned by Grzegorz Świątek, claimed bronze medal.

A mare driven by Bartlomiej, the 5-year old Rebelia śl (by Hutor, out of Regencja by Bank), bred by SO Książ, owned by OHZ Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, placed second in her age. She also scored high in walk and education.

The 6-year old stallion Imbred śl (by Pikolo, out of Izyda by Mundial), bred by Grzegorz Świątek, owned and driver by Weronika placed fifth in the final.

The second in a row success of young Polish-bred horses in the FEI World Driving Championships is a prove of a very high level of Silesian horse breeding programme. It also means that a cooperation with top world drivers like Kwiatek siblings was a very good choice.
