In general there are four categories of warmblood stallions within the stallion classification:
Category C (approved)
Category B
Category A
Category “E” (elite)
Warmblood Stallions Classification
(Małopolska, Wielkopolska and Polish Halfbred Horse)
Category C (approved)
Stallions included in this section have:
- established studbook pedigree
- passed performance test
- passed a visual examination for conformation and movement
- passed an official veterinary examination
Stallions that do not qualify to the category B or higher as nine-year-olds, loose the Category C and are not allowed to cover from the following breeding season.
Category B
Stallions included in this section have:
- completed category C conditions
- made a high performance in the Polish Young Horse Championships or equestrian sport and/or gained breeding points from their progeny
Category A
Stallions included in this section have:
- completed at least category C conditions
- gained 200 breeding points from their adult progeny (approved stallions and broodmares) or gained 100 breeding points from their adult progeny (approved stallions and broodmares) and made high performance in equestrian sport
Category “E” (elite)
Stallions included in this section have:
- completed category A conditions with 200 breeding points
- sired at least six high performers
